insurance trouble
some of you may know that i had a car crash a few weeks ago. well, i wasn't exactly in the car. neither was there a driver in the other car. coz the other car (a van actually) rolled down a slight slope and happened to bang square on the back panel of the gorilla (that's the name of my car). kinda of a driverless car crash :(
and because of that, i din get the driver of the other car's details. the police at the scene assured me that it would be easily sorted out. just give a call to the insurance he said and left me saying, "she'll be right mate..."
well. that was last month.
now, after much phoning of the 24-hour insurance company line and chasing the police to help me get the other person's details (to make a claim) and back again to the insurance company...
and back to the police again...
and back the other side again...
and again...
and again...
(you get the idea)
neither of them can help. or at least are willing to help. well, initially they told me that they cannot help because they are not legally able to give out that information. but it turns out the REAL reason that neither wanna help is because it costs $21 to get the information i need. that explains it all.... stingy buggers :P
now i gotta fork out that mulla, get a quote for the gorilla and send a letter to the other driver (who really should've called me in the first place - he's the one at fault!). and wait for his reply.
i really hope it doesn't blow out to be even more of a hassle that it already is... :S
