the bernard purdie shuffle

drums 'sifu' has recently got me started again on shuffles. quite a fun rhythm to play - endless possibilities. sifu also suggested listening to some of the best shuffles recorded - bernard purdie on "babylon sisters" (Steely Dan).

reputed to be one of -the- most recorded drummers in the world, this fella's got one of the fattest groove around. have a listen to the a-fore-mentioned track and you'll understand. man... it groooooves hard. i don't even care what the words are saying right now.
