on the way to uni, my usual street parking spots around north carlton look suspiciously empty when it should be 95% full. the skeptic in me looks at the street signs to find that yup, new stickers posted over the old text of them. where it used to be free parking, it is now 'P ticket 7.30am-5pm' (meaning you now have to pay). i attribute this to the money hungry councils. mind you not long ago, they had gone sticker mad a few weeks ago as well making you have to pay for parking until 7.30pm at most places instead of 6.30pm. hmm, maybe they get a group discount. anyway, off i went to find other viable spots (read: free parking).
cycled in to uni. realised i don't have my ear warmers. only to be reminded of the chilly melbourne breeze (firsthand!). ears now traumatised (read: excruciatingly painful).
you get in the elevator. one floor up from where you caught the lift, guy enters, earphones (not headphones) blazing with some teeny-boppy song, slightly nodding his head to the song. it was so loud that i could hear the lyrics standing a metre away from him - not clearly, but with distortion (coz it was soo loud!). i think his earphones nearly broke because of the volume.
i get out of the lift only to be reminded that my mobile phone had disappeared mysteriously last night on the drive home. seriously, i had the phone when i got in the car. but from the time i got in the car to the time i left the car, it had disappeared. ah well, it's a sign (but thankfully not the kind that you have to pay for parking...).
its been that kind of a week. ears still defrosting... oww.
