return of the dark lord...
ok, maybe not so dark and not so lordy... but i'm back. for now.
yeh, i know it's been quite a while since i got back. (yes i'm back). but have been occupied irl (and lazy) to post... anything.
officially got back here 20th nov. and settled back into uni quickly and that's where i have been mainly occupied to date. you see, i drew up a week by week schedule of my phd and alongside it i put down what tasks needed to be done (kind of a primitive gantt chart if you will). realised i had about 65 weeks left until i submit :|
yups, that aint so much time if one thinks about it. considering about 30 weeks of it will be spent writing up the thesis...
well, i found words from a visiting professor comforting... he said:
in the first year of phd, you expect the student to do something
in the second year, you expect nothing...
and in the third year, you expect everything!
so technically i'm still in the second year ;)
additinally, i'm heading off to sydney for 6 days for i) the hcsnet summerfest; and ii) the ADCS. yups sounds like a schoolies week for postgrad students, but somehow i dun think its like that at all :P
